Photo: Mexican fleabane (Erigeron karvinskianus)

When I'm not doing linguistics, I spend quite a lot of time involved in various photographic pursuits. I have previously worked as a photographer for Cambridge's student newspaper Varsity, and I have received several commissions for conference photography, concert photography, and wedding and engagement shoots. I currently spend most of my time working on documentary-style and street photography, and I am currently putting together my portfolio for a licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society which reflects this interest.

In terms of style, I tend to favour images which are vibrant and colourful, and which focus on patterns and details. I don't tend to do much in the way of black and white work (despite its popularity in documentary photography), although that might change in future…

If you would like to commission me to do any photography for you, or if you would be interested in prints or greetings cards of my images, then please do contact me.

Without any futher ado, you'll find a small selection of photos from my portfolio below; simply click on any of the images to start exploring! You can find further examples of my work on my Flickr photostream.
